In November 2017 the Borough of Barnet issued an invitation for a consultant to develop a master plan for the future of Victoria Park on Ballards Lane. The aim was to create a plan that provided a vision of future provision in the park, including play provision, refurbishment of the tennis courts, outdoor gym provision, the Park café and other facilities. Following consultations, a plan has been developed. On 28 February Matthew Gunyon presented the plan, explained how it had been developed and discussed the order in which the improvements will be undertaken. Matthew is the Partnership and Development Manager in the Barnet Council’s Greenspaces Team, which manages over 200 parks and green spaces in the borough.
