1st February 2012 A Goldcrest, a Great Spotted Woodpecker,
Parakeets, Redwings and Siskins seen and a Nuthatch heard along Dollis

13th December a male Greater Spotted or Pied Woodpecker in
my Nether Street garden pear tree, enjoying the fat ball. Also regular
visits from jays and hear tawny owls in the early evening - or maybe
these are good impressions by skilled youngsters! Report

27th March 2010 Rocklands Pond by the Finchley Golf course, the ponds
at Long Lane Pasture and Avenue House Grounds. Report by Derek Warren
Much frog spawn about. Numerous blackcaps have over-wintered but heard
one singing today, near West Finchley station.
27th March 2010 Dollis Brook starting in West Finchley Report by Roz

3 nuthatches, 3 greater spotted woodpeckers and 3 jays, long-tailed
tits, also goldfinches, a goldcrest and heard a chiff chaff. On Howcroft
Crescent, a grey wagtail flitting from roof to roof.

in group of holly trees.

I have just got back from a walk along the brook and spring has certainly
arrived. Watched a mistle thrush making its nest, two kingfishers
flew by, had lovely view of tree creeper and a nuthatch.
