Local History Group
A group was recently formed to promote an interest in and the recording of Finchley's history, members and non-members alike.
Activities include research into Finchley's past, recording memories and taking photographs. See history projects
We welcome anyone wishing to take part in these activities or who has a project of their own they'd like to share. We hold meetings at Avenue House around a table. Just contact the Secretary, or email localhistory@finchleysociety.org.uk (Next meeting: see diary)
Finchley Memorial Hospital
Celebrates its 100th birthday this yea and Dorrell Dressekie is in the process
of writing an official history which will be published later this year. As
part of the history, Dorrell would like to include reminiscences of local
people who either worked at the hospital or who received treatment there.
